La Ligue de Loisir GĂ©ographique, also called La Ligue Geoguessr, is an association built around video games and geography.
We organize several recognized competitions on GeoGuessr, with the help of about fifty volunteers.
These tournaments see hundreds of players face off against each other including the world's best players.
An official association since 2023 and created in 2020, La Ligue is a meeting space around geography and games, as well as a way to meet fellow geography fans!
La Ligue Geoguessr gathers a wide spectrum of talented people, with players developing their ability to learn and execution daily.
All those competitions could not exist without the investment and expertise of a lot of people in development, spreadsheets, geomatics or graphics.
GeoGuessr is a game based on Google Street View, a service allowing to walk in the streets of the different countries of the world.
The goal: finding in a fixed amount of time our position, as precisely as possible.
Between a video game and a knowledge game, players use the different signs next to the road, landscapes or architecture to narrow down the place where they are.

During the Thonon Gaming Fest event, we organized a GeoGuessr tournament gathering 32 players spread in 16 duos, with €1000 to win.
Even though mainly french-speaking, the competition was won by a german team against a north american team.

Duo exhibition tournament, in which game experts teamed up with streamers.
2020 -
Online team competition, with 4 divisions, 400+ players, including the 4 semi-finalists of GeoGuessr World Cup.
Undoubtedly the biggest GeoGuessr team competition, by its renown or popularity.

Online individual competition gathering more than 250 players, from complete beginners to the bests of the world, with a single elimination bracket for the show!
2022 -
Online weekly individual competition, open to all and rewarding consistency. The 8th season is running now.
2023 -
Bimensual online individual competition, organized for beginners and casual players.
For GeoGuessr, we designed the “official” map for the GeoGuessr World Cup 2023, organized in Stockholm.
We are also a service provider for the EuroGuessr program, broadcast on Arte's Twitch channel and produced by EqualProd.
With the same producers, we also contributed to the Backseat program “La Nuit Américaine”.
